2023 Travers-Saratoga 3-min Pre-Race Trailer

This pre-Travers coverage drew one of my largest single audiences and still draws viewers. It contains discussion of the 4 major horses of 2023 meeting up against each other at the most significant mid-Summer race at Saratoga. Trainers and horses include HOF Tr. Pletcher w ‘Forte’, which won Eclipse Award 2-yr-old of year who was disqualified under contention from KY Derby; Trs. Delgado w KDerby winner Mage; Preakness winner National Treasure for HOF/Controversial (banned from KDerby) Tr. Baffert; HOF Tr. Lukas discussing Arrogate who won Travers in 2016 & who sired 2023 Belmont Stakes winner Archangelo thereby making Tr. Antonucci the first female to win a Triple Crown Race and being interviewed by every major TV outlet; HOF Tr. Zito (who rarely gives any interviews these days) & Tr. Romans (who shares a moving personal story about beating 2015 Triple Crown winner American Pharoah with Keen Ice as he won the Travers; HOF Tr. Mott discussing his entry Scotland and his current most talked about horse who was named 2023 Eclipse Award Horse of the Year ‘Cody’s Wish’, and others. Saratoga has historically been named “The Graveyard of Champions” and I believe I captured the personal side of track legends whom the public never gets to meet, especially not all at the same race. The style of my interview is more of a historical documentary nature in advance of the event. Eclipse Award Horse of the Year honors and $1.25 Million was on the line, plus future breeding value of 2023’s best 4 contenders.
